Do you allow single-night stays during periods of two-night minimum stays?

Usually. A $35 surcharge applies (no exceptions.)

Do you allow pets?

Yes, we may allow small/toy dogs after a pre-screening phone call. $25/night fee. Click here for our pet policy.

Are you a green establishment?

Yes. We are a Green Hotel in the Green Mountain State and also have the gold rating from Trip Advisor for adhering to green practices.

Do you use local products?

Yes. We offer many locally-made products at our breakfast. Our soaps are made locally at Mountain Country Soaps.

May I wear shoes in the house?

No. We offer slippers to use while in our house or you can bring indoor, soft-soled slippers or shoes to wear to protect our floors.

What is your cancellation policy?

To confirm your reservation at Little Gnesta B & B, we will charge your credit card for the first night of your stay (the balance of what is owed for your stay will be collected upon your arrival). At Vita Huset Extended-Stay, we will charge you 25% of your total stay to reserve your apartment with the balance being collected upon your arrival. You may cancel this reservation up to 14 days before your stay, with a $25 processing fee. If you cancel within 14 days of your scheduled stay, there is no refund unless we are able to book the room to someone else.

If you wish to pay with cash, you may send a check for the amount of the first night’s stay. If you cancel up to 14 days of your scheduled stay, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 14 days, there is no refund unless we are able to book the room to someone else.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is by appointment, normally between 4-8 p.m. We will be waiting for you ONLY at the time you specify on the form below because we do not have a 24-hour front desk like motels. If you don’t arrive (and don’t call/email to change your check-in time) when you have told us to expect you, your reservation/deposit could potentially be forfeited. We are sorry but We cannot accommodate check-ins/reservations later than 8 p.m. However, in rare circumstances or if you’re a returning customer, we might be able to arrange a self-check-in by prior arrangement. Early check-ins might be possible, at no extra charge, if the room is ready. Check out at 11 a.m.

Are children allowed?

Yes, if they are well-behaved and accompanied with attendant parents, normally a ratio of two adults per child.

Are there ski rentals in Newport?

Yes, you can rent xc skis at The Great Outdoors and downhill equipment at Jay Peak Resort.
