Cycle around Lake Memphremagog
Do it in one day or two. The route around the lake is around 85 miles and mostly in Canada. You’ll enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Eastern Townships of Quebec with views of Lake Memphremagog intermittently throughout. Plan to stop at the Abbaye St. Benoit du Lac for a delicious cheese and jam break. If you time it right, the monks might even be singing in the chapel. Overnight in Magog (a bustling town of around 40,000 with many amenities) if you don’t want to do the whole circle in one day. We can recommend a b & b for you there. N. Hatley and Ayer’s Cliff are charming stops on the east side of the lake and will connect you with the bike path which goes into Newport. We will allow you to leave your car at Little Gnesta if you decide to make it a two-day ride. Obviously, you must bring your passports.
